We went and played at the Eagle's Nest in New Brighton. It cost us three dollars and we played for two hours straight. There is a toddler area and a big kid area. We played in both. She likes to use the tumbling mat to hide. This boy, Jeremy, kept following Gianna around. She tood a break to read a book.
Her favorite by far was the ball pit. She loved to jump in, wiggle, hid and just have fun. The pictures are the toddler pit. The big pit was too dark for pictures.
The toddler section has a section of crawling tunnels. G had a great time in those, especially when she brought in a playground bouncy ball.
This is National Night Out. Gianna loves bubbles and found Heather to help her blow them. (Gi-gi like to eat the soap. Yuck. Heather will be our new night out baby sitter. We are excited about that.
We call this lady, Grandma. She is our next door neighbor, Justin's Grandma. She and her recently departed daughter, Dawn, did daycare for us for a while when Gianna was an infant. We really appreciate their love and friendship over the last years. This is Justin. He and G are good buddies. She even shared her bike with him!
We couldnt' wait for the fire truck to come so we could play on it. They responded to a real fire instead. (The nerve!) However, Gianna did get this cool hat.
Gi-Gi and Papa having a quiet moment before bedtime. This will be last picture with our girl and her nukie. We are over two weeks without it. We still haven't had a melt down. Although she does still ask for it from time to time.
Papa and Gianna pose on a turtle. Gianna had fun on the pony carts. We got some great pictures of her expressions!
We have been kind of busy. We went to Como Zoo again to finish it up. We had a blast again! We went on more rides. G is just an inch short to ride some alone, so I got to go, too.
Potty training is going pretty well. She is now putting her "icky" (poop) in the potty pretty regularily, however, she doesn't ask. We think the light at the end of the tunnel is visible. A cute little story: Sharon, her daycare provider, put her on the potty after lunch and told her, Gianna, go poopie! Gianna started crying and said, "There's no more left!"
